Dr. Jeff Luty
Optometrist
Dr. Luty received his Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University in 1989 and his Doctorate of Optometry from University of Houston in 1993. Since July 1997, Dr. Luty has been proudly serving patients in the Abilene area. For over 25 years, patients of all ages have trusted him with their eye health. Dr. Luty has been married to his wife, Mary Kate, for over 30 years and together they have three children, Jordan, Ben, and Kate. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, and cheering on the Wildcats.
Mary Kate Luty
Office/Billing Manager
Mary Kate received her Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University in 1991. Since opening the practice with her husband in 1997, she has served in many different roles. She always enjoys the opportunity to work with patients and is grateful to have such an experienced and fun staff to serve alongside. Mary Kate enjoys biking, yoga, and KSU tailgates.
Joan Sherbert
Ophthalmic Technician
Joan has served as our Ophthalmic Technician for over 10 years. Born and raised in Abilene, Joan is a familiar and friendly face to our patients. Joan has been married to her husband, Richard, since 1986 and together they have two sons, Lance and Carson. Joan enjoys spending time with friends and family and cheering on the Chiefs.
Kelli Madden
Optician
Kelli has served as our Optician since 2013. She enjoys helping patients of all ages and budgets create a new look with the latest in eyewear fashion. Kelli was raised in Macksville, KS and is the fifth of five daughters. She is the proud mother of three children, Spencer, Samantha, and Henry. Kelli enjoys spending time with loved ones and quiet weekend getaways.
Tiffany Curtis
Front Desk Manager
Since 2017, Tiffany has served as our Front Desk Manager, which includes overseeing our patient schedule as well as managing our contact lens orders and inventory. Tiffany was raised in nearby Detroit, KS. In 2012 she married her high school sweetheart, Dusty, and together they have two sons, Dakota and Dayton. Tiffany enjoys cheering her boys on in their sports and camping with family.
